Palazzo Madama is an extraordinary architecture, which we can still read today by observing the different constructive and decorative elements of the building, to continue through a walk in the Medieval Botanical Garden at the foot of the tower. The building sums up the entire history of the city: from a Roman gate it was transformed into a fortress in the Middle Ages and then into a castle of the princes of Acaja; between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries the Royal Madames of Savoy chose it as their residence and in the nineteenth century Carlo Alberto established the first Senate of the Kingdom of Italy here. Since 1934 the building has housed the collections of ancient art of the Civic Museum. The evening will take place from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Monte dei Cappuccini in a poetic atmosphere: the public will have access to the Mountain Museum, with the new permanent exhibition dedicated to Walter Bonatti, the temporary exhibition "The Mountain of Advanced Dreams" and the "Hervè Barmasse Cervino" exhibition, dedicated to one of the most iconic mountains in the Alps.
